DESCRIPTION:BIP Building Inclusive Universities from Within \nAre you committed to creating safer\, more welcoming\, and more inclusive environments for students and staff in mobility? \nDo you want to strengthen your institution’s ability to support individuals from diverse backgrounds—LGBTQIA+ communities\, people with disabilities\, students experiencing precarity\, or anyone at risk of marginalisation? \nIf so\, this programme is made for you! \nThe BIP International Staff Training Week – Building Inclusive Universities from Within offers a unique opportunity to explore how universities can transform their mobility practices to become more equitable and inclusive. Through hands-on workshops\, expert-led discussions\, and peer exchanges\, participants will gain concrete tools to better welcome\, support\, and empower diverse mobile students and staff. \nWhy Join? \nEnsuring inclusive mobility is no longer optional—it is an essential commitment for European higher education. As diversity among students and staff grows\, institutions must strengthen their capacity to create safe\, accessible\, and supportive environments for everyone. This includes addressing barriers related to disability\, gender identity\, sexual orientation\, socioeconomic background\, or any form of discrimination. \nThis training week is designed to help administrative staff build practical expertise in inclusive practices\, develop coordinated institutional strategies\, and co-create solutions across departments. \nTogether\, we will explore how to ensure that mobility is not only possible\, but truly beneficial and empowering for all participants. \nProgram Highlights \nWho is it for? \nAdministrative staff or teachers engaged in welcoming and supporting international students and staff in mobility. \nWhat to Expect? \nOnline preparatory workshop – 19 March \nA first collective session to set the foundations before meeting in person. \nOn-site Training Week – 23–27 March \nFeaturing: \n\nPanel discussions and workshops on inclusive mobilities\, with a focus on removing barriers and promoting equity.\nSessions dedicated to welcoming and supporting diverse students and staff (LGBTQIA+ inclusion\, disability support\, socioeconomic challenges\, intersectionality).\nPolicy-focused exchanges on inclusion at institutional and alliance level\, including examples from INGENIUM and partner universities.\nInteractive activities for sharing challenges\, strategies\, and best practices.\nStudent testimonies and campus visits\, highlighting real experiences and accessibility measures.\n\nDiscover the Host University & City \nLocated in the heart of Normandy\, the University of Rouen Normandy is committed to building a campus culture rooted in inclusion\, accessibility\, and international cooperation.
