DESCRIPTION:Location: House G 111  \nKeynote lecture by Maurice Lamb\, Senior Lecturer in Informatics  \nA good game\, like a good story\, needs a well-balanced and considered set of rules. These rules limit a player’s action possibilities\, but they also create the challenges\, motivations\, and interactions that make the game experience fun. In order to successfully act sustainably\, we must accept that the limitations imposed by Sustainability Goals not only create the conditions for survival but may also create the conditions for a good and happy life for all. \nIn the talk Maurice Lamb will take an intersectional perspective combining ideas from philosophy\, physics\, psychology\, and games to make the case that constraints not only make life possible\, but they make life better.

Students from all 10 INGENIUM member universities across Europe will attend over two days to create\, discuss\, and reflect on sustainable development issues such as campus climate resilience\, transportation\, waste management etc. \n  \nThe goal with the hackathon is  \n\nto encourage students to think outside the box and develop creative solutions to real-world problems\nto encourage teamwork where people with diverse skills and from different cultures connect\nand to learn and understand about challenges in our society but also feel the need to take action.\n\n  \nInformation on how to participate will be announced soon.

DESCRIPTION:The Academic Staff Meetings\, have the purpose of finding new and developing existing collaborations in education and research that can lead to development of new joint courses and programmes\, in particular INGENIUM pathway and flagship programmes and microcredentials\, and to new joint research projects. \nIn this meeting hosted by the University of Skövde\, Sweden\, one track will focus on the proposed joint pathway programmes in Biomedicine and Bioscience. A parallel track will focus on Health sciences\, to allow for networking and discussions in the areas of nursing sciences and in public health. \nWe invite 2-3 academic staff per track from partners that are interested in collaborating in these areas. Dr Jeremiah Spillane is an instructional designer and digital learning specialist working with the Dept. of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) at Munster Technological University (MTU). He has a particular interest in the interface between culture and technology\, particularly for educational purposes. He has wide ranging experience in open educational resources (OER) and open educational practices (OEP)\, from open access publishing\, open access journals\, to supporting the creation and distribution of openly accessible media-rich learning materials. \nKrister Johannesson\, Librarian\, Team Research Support\, University of Skövde Library. Working with support for researchers and doctoral students including information seeking\, publication considerations\, open access\, the repository DiVA\, bibliometrics and reference management. \nQiuhong Boers\, Librarian\, Team Research Support\, University of Skövde Library. Member of University of Skövde  DAU (Data Access Unit). Working with research data management since 2018. Will talk about Creative Commons License for Open Educational Resources in relation to FAIR principles under the Open Science framework. \nTerhi Kaipainen\, Information Specialist\, Library Services\, South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences\, Xamk. I have been working with open science themes since 2015\, focusing more on open education since 2019. I am in the national expert panel in Open Education as one of the chairs\, and I am in charge of working group Peer support for Open Education. Furthermore\, I have also lead quality work for open educational resources (OER) and open education practices (OEP) on national level. In my daily work I am teaching about open education themes and help the staff and students with the open education questions like quality\, CC-licenses\, seeking information\, finding\, making\, and publishing OER’s.  \nCai Weaver is a language specialist at the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences. He supports staff in producing scientific publications\, open educational resources\, and micro-courses based on their teaching and research. He has also produced several open access educational resources\, such as a Moodle course on “Producing Micro-Content in a Team”. In the INGENIUM European University\, Cai works as a pedagogical specialist in the Innovative teaching and lifelong learning work package.
