SUMMARY:Microcredentials in Sustainable Development
DESCRIPTION:Short online courses. International collaboration \nThe University of Skövde offers three online microcredentials in sustainable development during autumn 2026. The courses give students the opportunity to explore sustainability from ecological\, social and economic perspectives and to work with practical sustainability challenges in an international learning context. \nStudents can choose one or several courses: \n\nEcological Sustainable Development\nEnvironmental perspectives\, human impact and sustainable transitions.\nSocial Sustainable Development\nSocial justice\, inclusion\, norms and intercultural collaboration.\nSustainable and Resilient Entrepreneurship\nEconomic sustainability\, entrepreneurship\, resilience and business-related sustainability challenges.\n\nEach course gives 3 ECTS credits and runs from 5 October to 27 November 2026. The courses are taught in English and delivered online. \nThe courses are built around modules\, workshops and group work. The first modul is shared by all three courses and introduces sustainable development and effective group work. The following workshops are adapted to the specific focus of each course\, while still connecting ecological\, social and economic dimensions of sustainability. \nThrough the courses\, students collaborate with peers from different backgrounds and universities. They develop intercultural and interdisciplinary understanding\, as well as skills in teamwork\, communication\, problem-solving and reflection on group development. These competencies are important for working with sustainability challenges in a globalized and multicultural world. \nThe courses are at undergraduate level and no prior knowledge is required. They are open to students from the University of Skövde and INGENIUM partner universities. \n  \nQuick Facts \n\nStudy period: 12 October-27 November 2026\nDuration: 8 weeks\nCredits: 3 ECTS credits per course\nFormat: Online\nLanguage: English\nLevel: Undergraduate level\nPrior knowledge: No prior knowledge required\nPlaces: Maximum 50 students per course\nOpen to: Students from the University of Skövde and INGENIUM partner universities\n\nApply at his.se by October 2nd.

SUMMARY:BIP Multidisciplinary Approaches to Digital Competence and Innovation in Health and Social Care
DESCRIPTION:Organizer\n \n University of Skövde \nVirtual Sessions:21 jan – 28 Apr 2027 \nCredits:3 ECTS \nBIP Type:Transversal \nFields of Study: \n\n \nHealth and Social Care\, Digital Health and Welfare Technology\, Informatics\, Health Technology Innovation\, Interdisciplinary Engineering\, and Person‑Centred Integrated Care\, with a focus on digital competence\, innovation\, and transdisciplinary collaboration \nLevel of Experience:Undergraduate and Graduate — Sciences in Health and Social Care\, Informatics\, and Engineering  \nSending partners:XAMK\, MTU\, MUS\, TUIASI \nAvailable Places: \nMinimum 2 and maximum 5 students from each of the 5 coordinating and sending partner universities\, with a mix of different disciplines.  \nTotal maximum of students for the BIP: 30 \nBIP Coordinator \nCatharina Gillsjö catharina.gillsjo@his.se  \n\n	Categories:\n Blended Intensive Programmes \n\n	Tags:\n \n	INGENIUM BIPs 26/27 \n\n	BIP Multidisciplinary Approaches to Digital Competence and Innovation in Health and Social Care\n April 12\n –\n	April 18\n \nAbout the programme\nMultidisciplinary Approaches to Digital Competence and Innovation in Health and Social Care  addresses one of the major challenges facing modern health care: how to maintain high-quality\, person-centred care in the context of an ageing population\, increased life expectancy\, and a shrinking health‑care workforce. As health care increasingly shifts from institutions to people’s homes\, digital technologies and innovative solutions play a crucial role in ensuring accessibility\, safety\, and quality of care. \nThe programme focuses on digital competence and innovation in health care\, bringing together students from health and social care\, informatics\, engineering\, and related disciplines. Through interdisciplinary collaboration\, you will explore how digital technologies can support person‑centred integrated care and contribute to sustainable health‑care systems. The on-site week is hosted by the University of Skövde\, with the Skaraborg Health Technology Center (SHC) as a central learning environment. \nHow you will learn\nLearning takes place through a blend of virtual collaboration and an intensive on-site week in Sweden. Before and after the on-site week\, you will participate in three structured online meetings where learning objectives are introduced\, interdisciplinary groups are formed\, and innovations are evaluated. \nThe core of the programme is multidisciplinary\, small-group work using a modified Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. Together with students from other disciplines and countries\, you will work on real health‑care challenges presented as cases or scenarios. Lectures and workshops provide theoretical grounding and practical tools related to digital health competence\, innovation\, and technology in care settings. \nDuring the on-site week\, experiential and simulation-based learning plays a key role. You will visit the Skaraborg Health Technology Center and take part in innovative simulations\, including experiencing ageing through an age suit in a digitally equipped\, highly accessible apartment. Site visits\, workshops\, and collaborative innovation activities culminate in student presentations and peer evaluation. \nCompetences you will develope\nBy participating in this BIP\, you will strengthen your digital health literacy and develop the ability to critically assess and apply digital technologies in health and social care contexts. You will gain experience in identifying problems in real-world health‑care settings and using innovation tools to design technology‑based solutions. \nThe programme emphasises interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary teamwork\, helping you understand perspectives ranging from technology developers to end users of digital health solutions. You will also develop competences in international and intercultural collaboration\, critical thinking\, problem-solving\, and constructive peer feedback. These competences are highly relevant both for future studies and for professional roles in health care\, technology\, and innovation. \nLearning Outcomes\n\n \nAfter successful completion of the programme\, you will be able to: \n\nAssess your own digital health literacy and competence and identify areas for further development.\nReview existing digital technologies in health- and social care\, identify challenges\, and propose evidence-based and user-centred solutions.\nApply innovation tools and methods to address complex health‑care challenges using digital technology.\nCollaborate effectively in international and interdisciplinary teams across health and social care\, informatics\, and engineering.\nCritically evaluate digital health innovations and provide constructive feedback to peers.\n\nThese learning outcomes are assessed through individual assignments\, group innovation projects\, active participation in online and on-site activities\, student presentations\, and structured peer evaluation. \nBIP’s Programme\nVirtual component (online activities)\nStart date: January 21st   |   End date: after on-site week\, November 2026  \nSchedule / Contents:  \nOnline 1: January 21st\,  2027\, at 10.00-12 and 13-15 CET \n\nGive an overview of the BIP\,presentation of learning objectives and course implementation.\n \n \n\n\n\nPresentation of students andteachers\n \n \n\n\n\nInformation of the first assessment\nconsisting of a presentation of their own field (Health and social care\,\nInformatics\, Engineering) and its relation to digital technology in health and\nsocial care.
