First Joint PhD Launch: Innovative Strategies for Wellbeing
We open the doors to INGENIUM’s first joint PhD programme
The new PhD embodies our shared commitment to high-impact research training, international cooperation, and student-centred education.
We are delighted to announce the launch of “Innovative Strategies for Wellbeing”, the very first doctoral programme developed within the INGENIUM European University Alliance. The new PhD embodies our shared commitment to high-impact research, international cooperation and student-centred training.
A collaborative, interdisciplinary pathway
Designed and delivered by three partner universities—University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara (UdA, Italy), Munster Technological University (MTU, Ireland) and South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK, Finland)—the programme combines expertise in life sciences, engineering, digital technologies and behavioural studies.Doctoral candidates will explore:• the neurophysiological, genetic and psychological foundations of wellbeing;• advanced wearable sensors, cyber-physical systems and AI-driven data analytics;• environmental and behavioural interventions that promote resilience and healthy lifestyles. This integrated approach will equip researchers to tackle pressing societal challenges such as demographic ageing, chronic diseases, and environmental stressors.
Joint degree and European mobility
Participants will benefit from a joint UdA–MTU diploma, co-supervision across institutions and funded mobility in another INGENIUM country.
Our alliance offers access to specialised laboratories, industry collaborations and an active community of scholars working on the future of public health and prevention.
