Long-term Mobility Opportunities

  • Long-term physical mobility means spending one or two semesters at another university, with the credits you earn there recognised in your home degree. Within INGENIUM it takes the form students already know: the Erasmus+ exchange, organised by the international office of your own university under its own calls, calendar and rules.

Two ways you can opt for mobility in INGENIUM

What the alliance adds sits in two places: in where you choose to go, and in the programmes that build a mobility period into their own structure.

Route A

Independently Choose a Destination Inside the Alliance

Your university holds exchange agreements with hundreds of institutions, nine of them are your INGENIUM partners. Choosing one of those nine places your semester inside a network that has already done part of the work for you.

Route B

Mobility that is part of a programme

The clearest case is the Pathway Programmes: international itineraries embedded in an existing Bachelor or Master degree, where a period at a partner university is planned from the first year.

Choose Your Own Erasmus+ Destination within INGENIUM

As an INGENIUM student, you can spend one or two semesters at another university through the Erasmus+ exchange opportunities offered by your home institution. Choosing one of the other nine INGENIUM universities means studying within a European network you are already part of, while experiencing a different academic environment and culture.

Mobility between INGENIUM partners also benefits from closer institutional cooperation. The universities and their international offices work together regularly, building shared experience around mobility, recognition and student support. This makes exchanges within the alliance a more familiar and increasingly well-established route for both students and the teams supporting them.

Mobility that's part of a programme

Some INGENIUM study programmes include long-term mobility as part of their structure. The clearest example is the INGENIUM Pathway Programmes which are international study tracks embedded in existing Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees, with a mobility period at a partner university planned as part of the student’s pathway.

Students selected for a Pathway have access to a predefined long-term mobility opportunity without competing through the general mobility call. The mobility period and its academic recognition are planned in advance with the home university, making the international experience already integrated part of the programme.

Calls usually open once or twice a year, and the deadlines fall earlier than most students expect, so it is worth looking a full academic year ahead.
