INGENIUM Light Up Research Group-2nd meeting in UoC
The University of Crete welcomed the partners of the INGENIUM Light Up Research Group to Voutes Campus for their second meeting on 2 & 3 June 2025.
Led by five partner institutions within the INGENIUM Alliance, Light Up, brings together a multidisciplinary team of chemists, biologists, educators, and project coordinators. By combining expertise and infrastructure, the project is building a solid foundation for long-term scientific and societal impact.
Light Up is already expanding libraries of potential drug candidates, offering greener alternatives to conventional synthetic methods. At the same time, it is creating a vibrant learning environment for young researchers—critical for Europe’s next wave of pharmaceutical innovation.
These initiatives of joint research projects funded by INGENIUM European Alliance, promote cutting-edge science and create a blueprint on how sustainability and innovation can go hand-in-hand in the biomedical sciences.
