Financial Literacy Through Gamification
Financial Literacy through Gamification is an educational initiative designed to make financial knowledge accessible, practical, and engaging for students by transforming traditional learning into an interactive gamified experience. Through playful learning formats and co-created financial tools, the project helps young people understand key financial concepts and apply them in real-life scenarios, encouraging confidence and responsible decision-making.
The project is built on the belief that financial literacy should not feel distant, abstract, or overwhelming but rather intuitive, enjoyable, and relevant to everyday life. By combining finance with creativity, collaboration, and game design, the initiative equips both high school and university students with long-term financial skills, while also generating educational materials that can be reused within future school programs and university outreach initiatives.
The Team & How It All Began
The Financial Literacy through Gamification project began from a shared recognition among students and educators that, although financial decisions shape everyday life, young people rarely receive practical, accessible financial education. Traditional financial learning often feels abstract or intimidating, so the team set out to redesign it through gamification, turning budgeting, saving, and decision-making into interactive activities that are easier to understand, apply, and enjoy.
