INGENIUM to Join Key Discussions at the Forum European University Alliances 2025
The INGENIUM Alliance will participate in the Forum European University Alliances, held on 12–13 June 2025 at the University of Wrocław, Poland. Representing INGENIUM will be Prof Jesús Daniel Santos, Project Coordinator at the University of Oviedo and the Rector’s Delegate for International Alliances, who will lend his expertise to this gathering of Europe’s academic and policy leaders.
Organised as part of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Forum is a platform for tackling the big issues in European higher education. It will bring together academics, administrators, policymakers, and national agency representatives to discuss challenges and opportunities, from fostering innovation to building a more inclusive academic landscape. For INGENIUM, this will be a chance to engage in these critical conversations, learn from other alliances, and contribute to shaping the future of the European Higher Education Area.
Prof Santos sees the Forum as a key opportunity for INGENIUM’s ten partner universities. “We’ll be there to listen and learn, but also to share what we’ve achieved,” he said. “Our alliance is building strong foundations—joint programmes, shared innovative learning initiatives—and we want to bring those experiences to the table while learning how others are navigating similar challenges”.
The Forum’s plenary sessions will feature experts discussing topics like digital advancements and sustainable practices in academia.
Meanwhile, networking sessions will offer a space for alliances like INGENIUM to exchange ideas and explore new partnerships. For INGENIUM, these interactions are a chance to deepen its collaborative efforts: “We’re not here to dominate the conversation but to add our perspective,” Prof Santos noted. “The Forum is about finding practical solutions together. By engaging with other alliances, we can refine our approach, spark fresh ideas, and build connections that will drive meaningful change across our universities and beyond.”
