Most students stay for one semester, while others stay for shorter study periods. Students find us to be very friendly and supportive. The Cork and Kerry region is interesting, full of tradition, scenic and waiting to welcome you.

Over 1000 international students from 125 different countries study full-time in MTU. Visiting students benefit from Comprehensive support from our International Office, Library, Student Services and Individual Academic Departments.

Exchange Opportunities for Staff

MTU also welcomes academic staff from other universities. MTU is especially interested in building links with partners with a view to creating pathways from MTU programmes to Ingenium and other potential partners.

MTU Coil and Virtual Exchange Centre

MTU recognises the potential for COIL to create engaging environments where students from different culture/countries work collaboratively together and is working towards expanding COIL as an activity within the University.  Two cohorts of MTU staff have completed training in Coil and Virtual Exchange and are open to consider potential COIL collaborations with staff in other Ingenium HEIs.
