Join the INGENIUM Challenge Labs – Autumn 2024
All major challenges we face in today’s society are linked to the United Nations Global Sustainability Goals. The Challenge Labs, organised by INGENIUM partner universities, gives you the chance to dive head on into the problems, while also receiving 1,5 credits from the University of Skövde.
The aim of this course is to become aware of and identify complex challenges and problems that our society is facing and how the sustainable development goals are interconnected and integrated into all challenges. The challenges we present are related to the UN great transitions. UNSDG | Six Transitions: Investment Pathways to Deliver the SDGs
Six online workshops from October to December
The course is divided into six online workshops consisting of both lectures and discussions, based on a real life challenge an external partner (company or Non-Governmental Organisation) will present.
Topics include climate change, food systems, energy, health, sustainable mobility, education and social security – all related to the three pillars of sustainability: social, environmental and economic. All INGENIUM students are welcome to join. No specific background or expertise is needed. You can join one or several challenge labs or you can join all six. If you join all six and do a quiz after each workshop and one written assignment at the end – you can get 1,5 credits. The first workshop is on October 8th and the last on December 10th.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is adopted by all United Nations member states. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, an urgent call for actions for people and the planet.
Do you want to learn more about the Great transitions related to the Sustainable Development Goals?
If you want to join one or more challenge labs, but not receive the 1,5 credits, you can register until the date of your workshop.
