Let’s Celebrate the European Day of Languages with INGENIUM!

On 26 September, Europe celebrates its rich linguistic and cultural diversity through the European Day of Languages.
This spirit is also at the heart of INGENIUM, especially within the subgroup WP9.3 “Multilingualism and Multiculturalism”, coordinated by the University of Rouen Normandie as part of Work Package 9: “INGENIUM for Non-Discriminatory and Socially Engaged Higher Education”.

Since July, online French courses have been available on INGENIUM’s LMS platform to support students and staff before their mobility period and to help them prepare for their stay at a partner university.
Besides, an intercultural communication module—co-created by teachers from eight universities in the Alliance—will be finalized in October. It should be offered as a micro-credential to the entire INGENIUM community, marking an important step in building a shared educational offer.
On 13–14 November, the University of Rouen Normandie will host the first meeting of language centre directors from our partner universities.
The goal: to lay the foundations of a structured network that will make it easier to develop shared linguistic and cultural courses across the Alliance.
Finally, a new task group on Academic English Writing should soon be launched, aiming to create a common course tailored to the transnational needs of students and researchers.
These initiatives highlight INGENIUM’s ongoing commitment to linguistic and cultural diversity—an essential asset for fostering inclusion, enriching academic experiences, and strengthening the European spirit within our community.
