INGENIUM Announces Results of the Call for the Development of Joint Academic Offers: 15 INGENIUM Pathways and 6 INGENIUM Flagships
The INGENIUM European University is pleased to announce the results of its Call for the Development of Joint Academic Offers, marking a major step forward in the realisation of a transnational European Campus. With an overwhelming response from partner universitites and a remarkable breadth of proposals, this achievement signals both the ambition and the collaborative spirit at the heart of INGENIUM.
INGENIUM Pathways: 15 Programmes Selected for Implementation
A total of 16 applications for INGENIUM Pathways were submitted by six partner universities, demonstrating a strong interest for flexible, cross-institutional learning opportunities. Following careful review, 15 of these applications have been selected for funding. One application has potential to be proposed as a future joint programme and has been agreed to be introduced in a future call among partners.
All applicants and local coordinators have been invited to a joint kick-off meeting on June 26, 2025 to discuss next steps and foster alignment among participants.

INGENIUM Flagship Programmes: Building Strategic Degrees Across Europe
Alongside the INGENIUM Pathways, the INGENIUM European University has advanced its work on the Flagship Programmes—strategic academic initiatives designed to drive innovation in European higher education. All applicants involved in the INGENIUM Flagships are invited to a joint kick-off meeting on June 26, 2025, where they will receive an introduction to the European Universities Initiative, an overview of INGENIUM’s objectives for the flagship programmes, and updates on procedures and next steps. Each flagship reflects the institutional strengths and strategic priorities of the partners involved, and the following developments have been confirmed:
Joint Bachelor Programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
This bachelor’s programme is a strong reflection of the core mission of the INGENIUM European University, particularly its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. Bringing together four partner institutions, the development of a joint undergraduate degree in this field is both an ambitious and forward-looking initiative. With MTU leading the programme, and also coordinating the Entrepreneurial INGENIUM work package, this development clearly demonstrates how strategic initiatives are generating tangible academic impact. In the coming weeks, partners will convene to define the programme’s objectives, agree on shared methodologies, and outline a joint action plan for its design and implementation.
Partners: UdA, Xamk, URN, MTU
Master Programme in Advanced Practice Nursing in Acute Care
Xamk and MUS are making significant progress in jointly developing a national degree programme in Advanced Practice Nursing in Acute Care, one that already carries a strong INGENIUM identity. It is a bold step for the alliance to address a regulated profession at such an early stage in its collaboration—an effort that now stands as a testament to INGENIUM’s ambition and capacity for innovation. The programme is on track to launch in the 2026/2027 academic year. Recently, HIS and UNIOVI have joined the conversation, expressing interest in contributing to the initiative and exploring how the programme could evolve into a multiple degree, or even, in the long term, be aligned with the European Degree framework.
Partners: Xamk, MUS
Joint Master Programme in Artificial Intelligence
With artificial intelligence being one of the most widely discussed and rapidly evolving fields today, it comes as no surprise that the INGENIUM Flagship Programme in Artificial Intelligence has attracted exceptional interest. Six out of ten INGENIUM partner universities have submitted applications to participate, making it the most subscribed flagship initiative to date. This strong engagement underscores that INGENIUM is actively responding to contemporary academic and societal trends—working at the cutting edge. In the coming weeks, the involved partners will meet to align on shared goals, discuss the academic scope of the programme, and coordinate the next steps in development.
Partners: TUIASI, Xamk, URN, HKA, UdA, HIS
Joint Master Programme in Chemical and Biochemical Process Technologies
The joint master programme being developed by TUIASI and UNIOVI is already well underway, with both partners having made significant progress in shaping the curriculum and preparing for its launch. While currently involving two institutions, this focused collaboration offers exceptional flexibility, allowing for close alignment of academic goals and streamlined coordination. This setup creates a strong foundation with the built-in potential for future expansion—additional partners can join over time by contributing to mobility pathways, offering short-term modules, or embedding complementary academic components. As one of the INGENIUM Flagships, the programme showcases how a targeted approach can deliver high-quality, scalable outcomes within the alliance.
Partners: TUIASI, UNIOVI
Joint Master Programme in Sustainable Development and Circular Economy
This programme represents a collaborative effort between the INGENIUM European Campus and INGENIUM for Sustainable Development work packages, reflecting both the alliance’s commitment to building joint academic offerings and its dedication to promoting a more sustainable future. Led by TUIASI and HIS, development is progressing steadily, with both institutions ensuring close alignment with MTU, who have also expressed interest in joining the initiative. Over the coming weeks, the partners will define the scope of their collaboration, set shared objectives, and develop a coordinated action plan to guide the successful launch of the programme.
