The INGENIUM Student Partnerships are strengthening collaboration among students across the Alliance
Through the INGENIUM Student Partnerships Call launched in April 2025, 11 winning Student Projects have been awarded financing to transform their inspiring ideas into reality and contribute to the strengthening of the INGENIUM European Campus.
Inspired by the “seed funding” models of many European University alliances, the INGENIUM European University introduced this initiative to encourage collaboration among students from its 10 partner universities. The call aims to build a cohesive inter-university campus by supporting student-driven projects that align with INGENIUM’s priorities, such as sustainability, inclusivity, and entrepreneurship.
A rising interest across the INGENIUM Student Community
Launched in April 2025, the call offered up to €10,000 per project to support innovative, collaborative initiatives by students and student associations. Proposals were invited in areas including inclusivity, sustainable development, student mobility, intercultural learning, healthy campus initiatives, and student entrepreneurship.
The initial expression of interest phase attracted 118 applications from across the Alliance, reflecting significant student enthusiasm. This stage enabled students to connect with peers, fostering partnerships to develop robust project proposals.
Building on the complementarity of students’s skills and study domains
As a result, the final partnership applications looked extremely promising, and they were linked to many of the INGENIUM priority areas: sustainability, entrepreneurship, wellbeing, intercultural dialogue, and much more. What’s more, they were built on the complementarity of profiles of INGENIUM partner institutions, showing that students fully grasp the added value that INGENIUM as an alliance can provide.
Reviewers assessed proposals based on relevance, quality, and potential impact, selecting 11 outstanding projects for funding. These projects are now in the implementation phase, and some of the students already had the opportunity to meet in person to work on their projects.
This edition of INGENIUM Student Partnerships is expected to conclude the projects by the end of 2025.
