
The INGENIUM European University is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the final Junior Summer School 2026, as part of the 10 Days of INGENIUM event, hosted by Medical University – Sofia, Bulgaria, from 01–05 June 2026.
“Health promotion in the new era”
This edition of INGENIUM Junior Summer School is organized by the Medical university–Sofia, Bulgaria, under the theme “Health promotion in the new era”.
As part of the INGENIUM European University, which brings together 10 universities to collaborate on various fronts, this event offers a unique opportunity for bachelor students to engage with peers and staff from across Europe.
The event will be organized in the form of 2 Blended Intensive Programme:
- The BIP “AI and Labour Market Transformation” is designed for undergraduate students interested in understanding how artificial intelligence is reshaping the world of work, employment structures, and required skills across industries and societies. Key topics include:
- The impact of AI and automation on employment and job quality;
- Emerging professions and skills in the digital economy;
- AI adoption across sectors such as manufacturing, services, and public administration;
- Inequality, inclusion, and the future of work;
- Ethical, legal, and policy challenges related to AI in the workplace.
- The BIP “Emergency Medicine in a Changing World” is designed for undergraduate students interested in the evolving challenges of emergency healthcare in a rapidly changing global context. The programme addresses how demographic shifts, technological innovation, climate change, global health threats, and societal transformations are reshaping emergency medicine and acute care systems worldwide. Key topics include:
- Emergency care in the context of climate change, disasters, and extreme events;
- Digital technologies and innovation in emergency medicine (telemedicine, AI-supported diagnostics, decision support systems);
- Preparedness and response to pandemics and global health emergencies;
- Emergency medicine in ageing and diverse populations;
- Ethical, legal, and organizational challenges in emergency healthcare.
