Joint Master Programme in Sustainable Development and Circular Economy

Sustainable development and the circular economy aim to balance economic growth, social well-being, and environmental protection. By minimizing waste, optimizing resources, and promoting long-term sustainability, they create a more resilient and efficient future.

Introduction to the Programme

This Joint Master’s Programme was proposed by Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iaşi (TUIASI) and would prepare students to drive sustainability in public institutions, businesses, and investment projects. Covering economic, social, and environmental aspects, it equips graduates with expertise in policy coordination, resource efficiency, environmental assessment, and circular economy tools. Students gain practical skills in sustainability consulting, digital tools for resource management, and corporate responsibility, opening career paths in public administration, regional development, and environmental protection. This programme empowers future leaders to implement sustainable solutions and contribute to a greener, more resilient economy.

Qualification

Graduates of the programme will receive an EQF-level 7 diploma.

Target group

Environmental Sciences and Engineering graduate students interested in working in the field of sustainable development represent the leading target group. Students from economics, public administration, or social sciences could also be interested, as national regulations require every public institution to have a responsible of sustainable development assessment for any investment.

How can INGENIUM Partners participate in this call?

All partners are invited to enter the conversation of developing a joint programme in the field of sustainable development and circular economy. TUIASI and University of Skövde (HIS) are currently collaborating in the curriculum development and are looking forward to additional input from INGENIUM partner universities. With this call, we welcome ideas for possible contributions. The working group will discuss possible collaboration opportunities.
