Iasi is a true cultural capital in which many poets, writers, musicians, diplomats and scientists have lived and realized their work. No wonder Iasi was named a UNESCO City of Literature, recognizing its rich literary heritage and the significant contributions of its writers to Romanian culture.

And, if you step inside the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, here you will find one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. Not only does it house thousands of technical volumes, but its stunning architecture and design have earned it recognition as a global architectural gem.

If you are an international student, you will be pleased to find out that Iași is a bustling educational hub with diverse nightlife, rich culture and student friendly budgets. Whether you had the chance of traveling to Iasi or not, we are sure that you heard about the Romanian hospitality and its openness to meeting other cultures!
