The Kick-Off meeting of the INGENIUM Alliance was held from the 24th to the 26th of January 2023 in Oviedo, Spain. Rectors and high representatives from the 10 partner universities attended the University of Oviedo, setting the official start for INGENIUM activities.
This three-day gathering of the key personnel from each partner university was an extraordinary opportunity to enhance mutual understanding, strengthen the links and give public visibility to the partners’ commitment towards the joint objectives of INGENIUM.
In the historical building of the University of Oviedo, which dates back to 1608, the representatives of the INGENIUM universities discussed the collaboration and coordination of the projects for the next four years, shared their views on issues related to the European Higher Education Area and explored thoughts and ideas for further partnership.
Each partner presented the Working Package they will coordinate and implement within the Alliance. For the next four years, teams from each INGENIUM university will work together, sharing views and expertise to execute and deliver the European University project most effectively.
The 10 partner universities are committed to building the INGENIUM European University based on European values, academic excellence, social inclusion, sustainability, and social responsibility. Diversity is a core element of the INGENIUM Alliance, which unites ten universities from all over Europe, East and West, North and South, some comprehensive and some specialized, some dating back to the 15th century and some that have recently been created. Eleven different languages make multilingualism a key feature of the Alliance, that aims at developing research and education partnerships and promoting pedagogical innovation and entrepreneurship in all areas.
