Inclusive Assessment Design in Higher Education: Book Launch and Symposium
How can assessment in higher education become more inclusive while maintaining academic standards? How can feedback, student participation and evaluative judgement be built into assessment design? And what changes when generative AI becomes part of the context in which students learn and demonstrate their learning?
Join the INGENIUM Education Lab for the final symposium of the Inclusive Assessment and Learning Design project and the launch of the Italian edition of Inclusive Assessment Design in Higher Education: Feedback, Partnership, and AI-Supported Design.
Developed through collaboration across the INGENIUM European University, the open-access book brings together research, conceptual frameworks, practical design models and examples from different higher-education contexts. It explores assessment as part of the pedagogical architecture of learning, addressing topics including inclusive and student-centred design, transparency and rubrics, co-creation, multimodal and culturally responsive assessment, feedback, AI-supported assessment and action research
The symposium marks the culmination of the Education Lab’s work and brings contributors together to discuss key ideas developed through the project and the book. The programme includes the presentation of the Italian edition and contributions on inclusive assessment and feedback literacy in the age of AI, AI-supported assessment design and evaluative judgement, assessment rubrics, and action research in assessment design.
