Want to practise a language, meet a student from another country, and discover what student life is like across INGENIUM?
The INGENIUM Language Network (ILANET) is launching the second edition of INGENIUM Linguistic Tandems for Students!
This is your chance to connect with a student from another INGENIUM university, practise a language together and discover a new culture – all in a relaxed and informal way.
How does it work?
You will be matched with another INGENIUM student based on the languages you would like to practise and your preferences.
Once you are matched, you and your tandem partner decide together how and when you want to meet.
Your tandem can be a great opportunity to:
- Practise a language through real conversations
- Meet a student from another INGENIUM university
- Discover a new culture and different student experiences
- Share your university life, interests and everyday experiences
- Build international connections and friendships
- Improve your intercultural communication skills
And don’t worry, you don’t need to speak the language perfectly!
The idea is simple: learn from each other, have conversations and enjoy the experience.
Who can join?
All INGENIUM students!
Whether you are an undergraduate, master’s or doctoral student, and whatever your field of study, you are welcome to participate.
You don’t need to be studying languages either. Curiosity and the willingness to communicate are all you need!
What can you expect?
The programme will run for approximately 6–8 weeks.
There is no classroom, no teacher and no exam. Your tandem is simply a space to talk, exchange and learn together.
To help you get started, you will receive a list of conversation topics. You can talk about your studies, university, city, hobbies, culture, travel plans, favourite music or anything else you would like to share!
