Learning a few words in the language of your destination can be a great way to prepare for an international experience. But language is also a gateway to discovering how people communicate, live and see the world.
With A Taste of Culture and Language Courses, INGENIUM offers students and staff the opportunity to discover the languages and cultures represented across the Alliance through accessible virtual, self-paced beginner level courses.

Preparing for mobility or simply curious?
The courses are particularly useful if you are planning to study, work or spend time at another INGENIUM university. They offer a first introduction to the language and culture you may encounter during your mobility.
But you don’t need to have a mobility planned to take part. Whether you are curious about what Finnish sounds like, interested in Greek culture, or simply want to discover a new language, these courses are an easy way to get started.
What can you expect?
The courses are virtual, self-learning and self-paced, and are designed for beginner level. They provide an accessible introduction to both language and culture, allowing you to learn at your own pace.
The goal is to help you take your first steps into another INGENIUM language and culture and perhaps inspire you to explore further.
