What are Local Student Events

Big Ideas Start on Your Campus

INGENIUM Local Student Events support small, student-led initiatives that bring INGENIUM and its opportunities to life on your own campus. Through activities designed by students, for students, the initiative aims to help more students discover what INGENIUM has to offer.

By creating events for their peers, students can promote INGENIUM opportunities in a local context, using their own language, ideas and approach to engage their campus community.

Contact your local INGENIUM office to discuss your idea, eligible costs and available funding.

2

Complete the Proposal Form

Fill in the proposal form, including your event details, INGENIUM component, accessibility, budget and follow-up plans.

3

Submit Your Proposal

Send it by email to the local INGENIUM office at your university, with ingenium@uniovi.es in CC, attaching the completed form.

4

Receive Feedback

Your university reviews the proposal and informs you of its decision. Approved events are organised in collaboration with the local INGENIUM Student Board.

Submit early

The call is rolling, but send your proposal at least four weeks before the event, so there is time for approval, payment arrangements and promotion.

PROJECT BUDGET

Funding & Support

Local student events are funded from the amount each partner university has set aside for student-led events, within the Next INGENIUM budget for the Engaged European Campus.

  • Maximum amount per event: €3,000. Smaller funding requests are also welcome.
  • Typical costs: Materials and printing, catering, room or equipment hire, small prizes, online tools, and the travel of a guest where this is justified. Eligible costs depend on your university’s institutional rules.
  • In-kind support can also be requested, such as rooms, equipment, promotional materials or help from the local communication team.
  • Administered locally. Your university pays or reimburses costs through its own procedures and in line with its institutional rules. Your local INGENIUM office will tell you which costs can be covered and how.
  • No double funding. Costs already covered by another source cannot be charged again.
Before You Apply

Contact your local INGENIUM office before you submit. It can confirm the amount available, the eligible costs and the payment route at your university.

Frequently Asked Questions

Because a programme cannot be designed, agreed and accredited in a semester. The fast track exists for initiatives that can be delivered between February and June 2027. A joint programme proposed now realistically launches in 2028 or later, and the call is honest about that rather than creating a deadline nobody can meet.

Two is the minimum. The strategic priority is broader: consortia with several partners and genuinely integrated delivery score better under relevance, and are closer to what the European Degree Label expects.

Only if it requires new accreditation. Double degrees that can be built inside existing frameworks belong under Pathways, in the flexible configuration, where the process is considerably lighter.

No. Adaptation of the existing portfolio is funded through INGENIUM-ED. This section is for new programmes, and the two streams stay separate.

Accreditation fees and quality assurance agency costs are planned centrally as part of the alliance’s joint education budget. Your own request covers the development work — meetings, design time, expert input — according to the needs of the programme.

Yes, for a joint or multiple doctoral programme that requires an accreditation process. For any other type of doctoral collaboration, you can check the doctoral collaborations section.
